Here’s what your patients may not be telling you:

Menopause is killing the mood

Vulvar and vaginal atrophy (VVA) occurs due to the decrease in estrogen that happens during menopause. It causes many symptoms, including dyspareunia.1

VVA is chronic, common, progressive—and your patients aren’t always talking about it.2

Only ~50% of women*
discussed their VVA symptoms with their healthcare provider3
*Based on a survey of more than 3000 women.

One study reported that some women during and after menopause avoid sex altogether due to pain and itching.3

According to The Journal of Sexual Medicine, up to 82.5%
of peri- and postmenopausal women express sexual concerns.4
